Sherpa Children Assistance Association (SCAA) was established in 2001 as a non profit and non governmental organization registered in Kathmandu District Administration Office. SCAA’s main objective is to assist the poor and needy children get proper education through financial supports for their education.
Since its inception in 2000, SCAA has been working towards achieving its objectives by helping many poor and deserving students for education. SCAA has realized that education is very basic requirement for overall development of a society. Every child in society has right to education. In this 21st century‘s world every child most have opportunity to take education.
Right now, SCAA has been assisting children from Garma, Nele and Kanku VDCs to get education in their local schools. Until now, almost 91 students are getting scholarships and other facilities like stationeries, lunch and dresses. Annually, the numbers of students getting scholarship are in an increasing trend.
Therefore, SCAA is committed to provide educational facilities for those who are deprived from the access of education due to poor financial backgrounds and lack of awareness. Besides that SCAA supports students and schools by addressing other problems faced by them. To be precise, creating a good environment for educational development in villages is essential for both school and students.
